Robert Melton, Au.D., CH-TM
Dr. Melton is a Doctor of Audiology with specialized expertise in tinnitus evaluation and management. He has worked in private practice, hospital ENT, and university settings, and has dedicated the past six years to advanced training and continuing education in tinnitus care. His goal is to help individuals better understand their tinnitus and provide evidence-based management options that reduce its impact on daily life.
A Mississippi native, Dr. Melton earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), including a minor in Spanish, before completing his Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) at Auburn University. Following a year of working alongside Dr. Jen Hurst, he assumed ownership of the practice in January 2026.
Dr. Melton holds the Certificate Holder–Tinnitus Management (CH-TM) credential and has completed Tinnitus Retraining Therapy (TRT) training through the renowned program developed by Dr. Pawel Jastreboff. He is also a certified provider of both the Lenire® bimodal neuromodulation system and the Oto Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) tinnitus management program. Through ongoing education and specialized training, he remains committed to offering patients the latest evidence-based tinnitus treatment options available.
In addition to tinnitus management, Dr. Melton provides comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid services, hearing protection solutions, and personalized hearing healthcare for adults throughout Southwest Colorado and the surrounding region.

Dr. Jen Hurst has been practicing audiology for 25 years. She is from Utah where she graduated from Utah State University. She received her doctorate from A.T. Still University. She has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, ENT clinics, and private practice clinics. Dr. Hurst started her private practice, Hurst Hearing, in September of 2020 in Pagosa Springs and she is proud that it has now evolved into Hearing & Tinnitus Solutions with the leadership of Dr. Melton. She enjoys working with patients of all ages, from newborns to centenarians. Jen is the proud mom of two wonderful young adults.
